Resumen:
Breeding practices in salmon aquaculture are substantially based on artificial mating, leading farmed stocks to diverge genetically and phenotypically from wild fish. This situation needs to be considered with regard to the fish immune response to diseases, which is important for commercial fish production. Our project investigates the effects of breeding practices and rearing environments on the Chinook salmon immune system.
