Nuptiality Trends in Israel, 1955-2017

The aim of this research is to analyze current contrasts in nuptiality trends by religion in Israel with emphasis on divorce.The selected indicators on family discrimination show contrasts related with geopolitical reconfiguration especially after the two World Wars. The analyzed based on time series and cross-sectional data show contrasts in the evolution trends and current marriage and divorce scenario in Israel depending on religion. In fact, the association coefficient value, r2=0.8299 reveals a strong statistics association between the rate of divorce and t standing for the time period 1950-2017 in Israel.The paper concludes that the divorce trend is associated with contrasts in the consuetudinary, religious, and traditional practices limiting changes in the balance of power between men and women leading to an impact on the global society.
