Resumen:
As global interest in power generation based on photovoltaic solar sources grows, their widespread availability and eco-friendliness makes them a very attractive option. These photovoltaic systems are composed by several stages of energy conversion, which are modelled in this work. It is worth noticing that, in addition to weather variables, the output of photovoltaic modules and cells can be affected by a number of internal parameters. In any case, the voltage current relationship is non linear and has a specific operating point where power reaches its maximum value. In the present work, maximum power point tracking algorithms are studied and computer implemented in systems under different operating conditions. Then a comparative analysis between said algorithms is carried out. These results are valuable when it comes to choosing which algorithms are suitable to meet our design goals.
