Resumen:
This work is centered on the analysis of Total Factor Productivity (TFP) dynamics. Particularly, it regards the biased effect derived from the change in production factor's output-elasticities, topic known as Biased Technological Change (Antonelli and Quattraro, 2010). While factor's productivity constitute a widely studied issue in economics, this paper is based on both, a methodological and a theoretical approximation that are able to isolate the effect of the technological bias at macro level. This work represent a novelty i several aspects: first, the use of an state of the art database, able to discuss in detail the Bias Effect at sectoral level; second, the sector level Bias Technological Change direction offers a detailed interpretation of the effect, particularly useful to disentangle the international specialization patterns analysis. This represent both, a theoretical and methodological contribution in order to enable linkages between technological effects on the use of available production resources, specialization patterns, and TFP studies.
