Resumen:
Digital platforms mediate exchanges of goods, services and information. They are designed for organising and controlling the interactions and data of their users. Platforms have become increasingly prevalent digital infrastructures which mediate how people shop, work, communicate, travel and access services, as well as how industrial and logistical processes are organisedPlatformization reconfigures existing digital socio-spatial orders and exacerbates socio-spatial inequalities in cities.Platforms not only challenge existing legislation and regulatory frameworks: they also shape new ways of experiencing urban space and of imagining and planning the urban future. They also affect platform-mediated placemaking practicesThe inclusion of new networks of data, values and work produces new forms of insecurity, socio-spatial segregation, loss of privacy, precariousness, social injustice
