Resumen:
Several authors demonstrated the implication of SSRT2 receptor and phosphotyrosine phosphatase SHP-1 as components of the antiproliferative system of the somatostatin. This work relationship the SSTR2 and SHP-1 expression with methylation of these promoters. The methylation of promoter of sstr2 gene and promoter 1 of shp-1 gene was evaluated in 10 paraffined samples of prostate adenocarcinomes. These data were compared with the expression of SSTR2 and SHP-1 analyzed by immunohistochemistry. Our finds prove the estromal and epithelial localization of SSTR2 in normal prostate, while in tumoral prostate was observed a decrease in the epithelial expression. When the methylation of -821 at -800 region of sstr2 gene (GeneBank L34689) was analyzing by MS-PCR we found no-methylate to methylate change for advanced tumors. In the other hand, SHP-1 expression diminished in correlation with advance of Gleason grade. However, we not shown methylation change of -80 at -60 region of promoter 1 shp-1 gene (GeneBank U15537 and U47924). We conclude that the tumoral prostate show a disequilibrium in SSTR2 expression probably due at changes in methylation pattern of sstr2 gene. On the other hand, prostate carcinome show decrease of SHP-1 expression. However, we not observed changes in the shp-1 gene methylation in the analysed region.
