Ni(II) complexes with pincer ligands: synthesis, characterization and study of its catalytic activity in C-C bond forming reactions

Study of pincer complexes with Ni to catalyze organic transformations has gained great momentum as a sustainable alternative to the most noble metals, which has resulted in the development of various methodologies for formation of C C bonds. In this work, we have studied catalytic capacity of a synthetized Ni(II) complex, with PNN pincer ligand, in electrophilic cross coupling reactions of aryl halides with alkyl halides.
