Resumen:
What is the objective of your research? Due to the fact that low concentrations of auxins promote the rooting of woody vine cuttings, but elevated concentrations inhibit the production of adventitious roots, in this work we determined which concentration of auxins added exogenously is optimal for each type of rootstock evaluated.Which methods did you apply? We used woody cuttings of V. vinifera cv. Malbec grafted on 5 rootstocks: Cereza (V. vinifera), 110 Richter (V. berlandieri x V. rupestris), 101-14 Mgt (V. riparia x V. rupestris), SO4 (V. riparia x V. berlandieri) and 1103 Paulsen (V. berlandieri x V. rupestris). We prepared 6 solutions of indole acetic acid: 0, 500, 750, 1000, 1250, 1500 ppm, and immerse the base of the cutting in them. Finally, they were placed 21 days in the propagation chamber. Diferents rooting parameters was determinned. How does your research contribute to wine science, wine industry or society?Synthetic auxins are expensive, due it is necessary to determine the optimal concentration of auxins that promotes the rooting of some of the most widespread rootstocks in the viticulture of Argentina.
