Resumen:
This work is divided into three parts. In the first one, the teleological requirements for a substantialist economic theory are presented. In the second, two elementary problems that the conception of utility has to face both cardinal and ordinal are exposed. Finally, in the third part a defense of what could be considered an approach is presented. The three parts are centered on the figure of homo economicus.
