Resumen:
The presence emergence of plastic an art and architecture al avant- garde in Latin America´s Southern Cone is usually taken considered as the starting point of the historical reconstruction of modern design inArgentina. In this context, there is a pending debate on the kindnature of the ties that between these those avant- gardes had withand their European reference points of reference, particularly withSwiss and German Concrete Art in from the immediate postwar years.South American-European exchange taken place within the from 1944 to-1957 period has been studied regionally only in regional terms andspread mainly across Latin America. The purpose aim of this work is to analyse these relationships in the context of a transatlantic dialogue which that encompassed included correspondences, exhibitions, publishing projects, and friendships;the ties were not without and distances as a result of conceptual differences, however. Special focus will be placed on the publishing initiatives that contributed towards to laying the conceptual foundations of for the differenttypes of designs as disciplines and with university degree programs.I will discuss specifically. They are the magazines nueva visión, as well as the Nueva Visión and Infinito publishing houses.
