Cinética de la reacción del reformado seco de CH4 en catalizadores de Rh/La2O3

In the present work, the kinetic of the dry reforming of methane over Rh/La2O3 catalysts was studied. A reaction mechanism was proposed and a kinetic expression for the reaction rate of methane was derived, which is found to predict satisfactorily the experimental data. The catalysts were characterized using diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT). The support and the calcined fresh catalysts exhibited a mixture of lanthanum phases. These phases played an important role in the reaction mechanism.
