Resumen:
Plasmonic colors are gaining great interest for their possible applications such as surface decoration, digital displays, molecular sensing, optical security devices and durable optical data storage [1]. In the case of nanostructures made by metallic nanoparticles (NPs), the plasmonic resonance strongly depends on the distance between NPs (coupling effects) and on the refractive index of the host medium [2]. With the aim of designing structures capable of producing a wide palette of tunable colors by means of non-destructive techniques, we model the color reflected by structures made up of layers of gold and/or silver NPs centered at the nodes of a FCC lattice and embedded in a dielectric material.
