Planning Tomography with Metis

We present the first results of simulation of tomographic reconstructions of the three-dimensional distribution of the electron density of the solar corona based on Metis / Solar Orbiter data. This aim of this study is to help to design the future Metis synoptic observational program in order to be able to be used for tomographic reconstructions. As a result we find that four images per day of 512x512 pixels will be enough to carry out tomographic reconstructions at any point of the Solar Orbiter high-eccentricity orbit.
