Resumen:
Aron Gurwitsch rejected the notion of a pure X as a noematic moment and advanced an analysis of the unity and identity of the object as a function of the coherence of a plurality of perceptual noemata as contradistinguished to their inherence to a substratum pole. The author takes issue with this interpretation arguing that unity by Gestalt-coherence cannot account for the identity of the object because it is the substratum which alone makes possible the essential distinction between object-consciousness and horizon-consciousness. Finally it is contended that unity is grounded in identity.
