Sedimentological and stratigraphical data about syn-sedimentary tectonic activity from the fluvial volcaniclastic succession of the Cerro Castaño and Las Plumas members (Cerro Barcino Formation, Cretaceous of Patagonia) were documented and evaluated. This information allowed increasing the environmental and stratigraphic knowledge of the recorded volcaniclastic systems, which are commonly appraised as a response of the pyroclastic sediment supply
