Resumen:
Hemolytic uremic syndrome is produced by enterohemorrhagic E. coli that secretes the neurotoxins Shiga toxin (Stx) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS). In order to determine the alteration of the neurovascular unit of the anterior and lateral ventral nuclei of the thalamus by these toxi ns, Swiss-NIH male mice were used and Stx2 and / or LPS or vehicle were inoculated and, on the fourth day of the treatment, intracardiac perfusion. immunofluorescence was performed: anti-NeuN, anti-GFAP to assess astrocytic reaction, Lectins, GB3 and Hoechst.
