Resumen:
In this study different coatings were electrodeposited under potentiostatic conditions onto AZ91D magnesium alloy. The coatings were obtained in electrolyte solutions containing Na2MoO4 and/or Ce(NO3)3. These films were modified by the incorporation of silver species. The obtained coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The corrosion protection properties of the films were examined in simulated physiological solution by open circuit measurements, linear polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The best results concerning to corrosion protection were obtained for the silver-modified coating correspond to Ce-Mo coating.
