Resumen:
The results of new excavations and analysis of the material from the Zanjón Seco 2 site are presented and discussed. This original data is added to the material recovered in the 1980-1982 field seasons and the hipothesis previoulsy proposed about the site are contrasted. Surface material were also analized and compared with the stratigraphic findings. The function of the site as a base camp, and the siginificance of guanaco as the main prey has been confirmed. An age of 3000 yrs. B.P. has been obtained from levels with pottery (both plain and incised), marking an early use of pottery in the Pampean Region.
