Resumen:
The aim of this chapter is to build and compare cohort life tables that complement the traditional period measures, in order to add an additional point of view to the study of survival and to supplement the current gap in comparative mortality studies.We take the experience of those generations born in Argentina in 1898 and 1998 respectively, deriving abbreviated cohort mortality tables for the entire country. The particular objective, finally, will be answer this question: how long did those born in 1898 live and how long will those live who were born 100 years later?
