Electric power system is one of the biggest and mostcomplex systems, it is made to facilitate, generate, transmit and distributeelectrical energy with the purpose to provide energy for human in a secure andreliable manner. To maintain the powersystems against faults that normally occur in, an additional protection systemthat is able to take corrective actions against such faults have to be applied.The protection system consists of transformer, relays, circuit breakers, surgearresters and corona model, which is the novelty of additional protection inthe present paper for purpose to protect system to analyze the signal of waveshape propagating on the overhead transmission lines under a damage faultdue to lightning strike. The surge corona is consideredin the study of lightning protection scheme and insulation coordination for their effects on the overvoltage transmission lines OTL, by describing of amathematical corona model interfacing with ATP/EMTP using their feature Models
