Abstrac: This paper analyzes the history of the two main trends of the extreme right in Argentina during the first half of the twentieth century and some of its later branches. The first trend, born in the early twentieth century, could be defined as conservadora autoritaria (authoritarian conservative). Some of the so-called Nationalist organizations of the 1930s belonged to this political camp, which can be characterized as traditionalist and integralist Catholic. The second trend that emerged during the mid-1930s, is known as the derecha revolucionaria (revolutionary right), and some of its features can be compared to those of European fascist movements.
