Los contenidos del presenteartículo surgen del trabajo de campo realizado en la zona de la frontera entreArgentina, Brasil y Paraguay. Este capítulo aborda las cristalizaciones de lafigura del pionero y del migrante en una fiesta nacional, primero y luego en elespacio urbano, con la creación de un parque con la fuerte presencia de las?colectividades? en Oberá, la continuidad de los imaginarios sobre el procesode colonización en zonas de poblamiento ?blanco? más reciente, en Paraguay, através de una mirada que va de los imaginarios de los viejos frentes pioneros alos nuevos.
