This book provides a review of managed grasslands in different parts of the world and the ways in which they are managed. There are 5 chapters on managed grasslands of Europe (including the UK, Spain, France, Poland), 2 from Latin America (Venezuela, N. Patagonia of Argentina), and individual chapters on South Africa and Japan. In this chapter, we analyzed the structural and dynamic characteristic of northern Patagonian grasslands after almost 100 years of continuous grazing. The emphasis was put more on the  ecological framework rather than on a managerial point of view.
