This work attempts to share with professionals and non?professionals the conclusions we have reached regarding methodologies, materials and technologies to create the Popular Habitat. This proposal has a place within a methodology, Participative Research?Action, which seeks a social transformation. This work aims to: · Develop and improve adequate technological and architectural solutions. · Promote the participation and training of groups which will be benefited through the various stages of research. Besides the conceptual and methodological frame, the action taken in each stage and the conclusions reached are expounded. Needs and requirements were weighted, against the resources available (collected, reused debris) and it was possible to achieve satisfactory results. In this process, technological and scientific knowledge was used as a major tool.
