The objectives are: a) To promote life quality of poorer people, in general, through the development and spreading of strategies and devices that take advantage of solar energy; b) To demonstrate its convenience and efficiency for water heating c) To bring the sector affordable tools to the requirements of comfort, hygiene and environmental care; d) To promote the development of human resources committed to the current ecological and social reality; e) To provide alternative solutions in the field of Habitat. Actions developed and built products are framed in five axes: a) Research about Design and Promotion of systems for solar water heating, b) Development of two Learning prototypes; c) Experiment with Prototype 2, since #1 is under construction; d) Evaluation and Monitoring of the developments; e) Transfer: in rural areas. The assessment was able to confirm: a) the effective operation of the prototype 2 in short periods, raising the water temperature between 60 ° and 70 ° C, exceeding the required levels, eg for personal hygiene (45-55 ° C) b) the low cost of both prototypes in relation to a conventional heater (wood).
