Resumen:
In this chapter we summarise the development of public archaeology in Argentina, pointing out some of the difficulties it has been going through and introducing the practice of the Grupo de Arqueología en las Pampas (GAP), as an example. The GAP is a collective experience of work that involves 17 people, including professional archaeologists and students, who share the goal of socialising the results of the archaeological research that has been carried out in three towns of the Buenos Aires province in Argentina: Bahía Blanca; Necochea, and Chascomús. Based on their population, these are middle and small-scale towns.
