Resumen:
The general objective of this chapter was to examine the affective dimension of language, among the various and interesting facets comprising Andean languages, culture, and epistemology. This issue requires attention due to the progressive research on emotions, on the one hand, and the need to analyze Andean languages and their emotional meaning, on the other. To this end, and from an epistemological point of view, we reflected on the cognitive processes implicated in native Andean speakers with Spanish as a second tongue. We addressed the different paradigms framing cognitive research and analyzed if the so-called postcognitivist approach to cognition, in contrast with the cognitivist one, is an adequate and significant epistemological scaffolding to deal with. Since the study of emotions is limited, and emotional expressions are considered “shadows” in discussions on these topics, our work adds to the task of reversing this position and revaluing the role of cognitive emotional processes in Andean languages.ACLARACIÓN:EL ISBN CARGADO ES FICTICIO (SE CORRESPONDE CON UN ISBN DE OTRO CAPITULO DE E MI AUTORIA).
