Resumen:
The purpose of this chapter is to analyse youth activism that was politically linked to the recent kirchnerist governments in Argentina, especially Cristina Fernández de Kirchner?s two presidential terms (2007-2011, 2011-2015), and particularly since the so-called ?farmers? conflict? in 2008, that is, where youth became a relevant category and the object of legitimacy of activist practices. We explore the construction of new groups and organizations that came to define themselves as young or as activist youth linked to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner?s administration: the ways in which they related to the government; how they conceived of their political commitment within the public administration and state bureaucracies; how they mobilized and defined their agendas; and how, during that time, they became a relevant category and the object of legitimacy of activist practices. We also connect the findings of our research with those obtained by other researchers who have addressed a similar question (youth activism in government-supporting organizations) for other countries of the region, especially studies that have referred to the so-called Pink Tide administrations in South America. We also posit that a retrospective interpretation that takes history into account can enrich our comprehension of the dynamics that defined the construction of young political activism as a militant cause during the Kirchner years.ACLARACIÓN A EVALUADORES/AS: EL LIBRO SE PUBLICÓ FINALMENTE EN 2022, PERO ENTRÓ EN PRENSA A FINES DE 2021.
