Resumen:
In this book chapter, we have presented the main findings of a systematic literature review on the impact and use of AI applications on teaching and learning activities in formal educational institutions and their relationship with emotions and affect in Latin American countries. Different theoretical perspectives are highlighted, such as Scherer´s Circumplex Model, Positive Psychology, Academic Emotions, but with an emphasis on the visual system of facial recognition in students. Considering the structural conditions of LA, there should be a diversification of research methods and objects.
