Resumen:
This paperdescribes the findings of an ongoing project into the lectures Borges gave inArgentina and Uruguay between 1949 and 1955, carried out by the group that Ilead at the UNMdP and by researchers from the Centro Borges of Argentina’sNational Library, which can be found at http://centroborges.bn.gov.ar/ Firstly,I present the methodology employed, highlighting our aim of piecing together aBorges archive which would incorporate the new materials that have appeared inrecent years and which have prompted a shift in criticism. Secondly, theplaces, dates and topics of the talks are analyzed and discussed in light ofthe measures taken by the first Peronist administration to impede them and thetensions between Peronist and anti–Peronist intellectuals. Finally, I reflecton the possibilities opened up by the recent appearance of Borges’s notebooks, giventhat many of them contain materials from this period. These will allow us tocontinue testing hypotheses as to how his texts were composed.Cabe consignar que se registra esta entrada con el mismo ISBN de un libro anterior dado que el sistema no permite ingresar la información de otra manera.
