Successful examples of setups at small scale recently developed by different groups inArgentina for small rural and periurban communities are presented. The final results indicate that most ofthe systems can attain the WHO guidelines of 0.01 mg/L for drinking water. Conclusions and recommendations,especially for isolated rural and periurban regions, are included.
