Resumen:
With this work I intend to explore the interesections among performance, installation art, film and poetry: the making of Atlantic Casino by Roberto Echavarren (Uruguay, 1944), inspired in Echavarren´s homonym poem, and the installation called Pacific Palisades, based on his poem Oír no es ver / To hear is not to see. The main topics that will be developed include: 1. Writing in exile, in a foreign land and language, thus developing an extraterritorial poetic voice. 2. The use of glam rock as the discursivity of the underground scene, using elements of the renewed North American avant-garde movement, still avoiding any elitist critical artistic standing , and processing pop culture elements to createnew social subjectivities. 3. The creation of a non-hegemonic subjectivity and corporealness based on this performance, merging rock and neobarroque.
