Resumen:
We have characterized T gondii histones 2B and we observed that they present important differences in their expression, either in tachyzoite as well as in bradyzoite stages. Moreover, our results would be indicating that H2B could have differences in posttranslational modifications between both stages. Taken these data together, they suggest that parasite H2Bs would have a relevant role either at cell cycle, gene expression and/or parasite development. Future experiments of knock out and complementation with mutated versions of H2Bs should be conducted to determine the level of importance of H2B and its posttranslational
