The aim of the present work was to study the mechanical and morphometric properties of the carpal III bone (C3) of the Creole horse. For this, bone pieces were obtained from 10 specimens from a slaughterhouse in the region. The bones of the left hand were weighed and analyzed by 3D optical scanning techniques that generated stereolithographic files. Morphometric datasuch as the lateral-medial and dorso-palmar diameter, the total volume, the total joint sur face and the proximal-distal diameter were obtained from them.
