Resumen:
The increase in the power of photovoltaic systems involves a signicantgrow in the number of modules that make them up. The known problemscaused by the shading usually are not taken into account in the design ofa photovoltaic central. The aims of this study are to obtain a model forsimulation of photovoltaic plants, representing the array under dierent conditionsof dynamic shading, and to investigate its eects on congurations ofmodules array and converters. Performance measures are also discussed inorder to nd those most suitable for plants comparison in this context. Analyzingthe eciency of the maximum power point tracker and the inverterunder dierent conditions of dynamic shading, using one or more inverters, abetter performance is generally achieved by reducing the number of modulesin series and by increasing the number of those in parallel. However, theresults show that the conguration with maximum performance depends onthe conditions of shading. Photovoltaic plants composed of many modulescan be studied using the proposed simulation model. These studies allow tond designs with higher performance.
