Resumen:
A series of new esters of secochiliolide acid (SA) were synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro antiparasitic properties (on Plasmodium falciparum and Trypanosoma brucei brucei). The in vivo antimalarial efficacy of the n-hexyl ester of SA was assessed on mice.An intraperitoneal treatment at 50mg/kg/d induced 56.0 ± 8.2% of parasiteamia inhibition on day 4 post-infection and an increase on the survival time.
