Resumen:
The essay presents the thought of Nicholas of Cusa in relation to his eval- uation and appropriation of the Platonic tradition. Cusanus knew directly the Latin translations of some of Platon?s dialogues and the works of Platonic au- thors from the Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Many of these works have marginal notes and are in his library located in Bernkastel-Kues. Cusanus?s writings are highly influenced by both Platonic Christian authors (Dionysius, Scotus Eriugena, Chartrenses, Meister Eckhart) and pagan Platonic authors (especially some writings by Proclus and his receivers in the Middle Ages, Henry of Bate and Bertold of Moosburg). Although not all of them influence in the same way or at the same times, the Platonic tradition and its main topics are always present in the Cusan works in some way, sometimes to be critically reviewed.
