Resumen:
This work describes a novel and cost-effective method of PDMS microchips fabrication using a printing plate photopolymer called Flexcel as a master mold (Fmold). This method allows the manufacture of microfluidic molds, achieving dimensions larger than those obtained by the known techniques to date(1270 x 2062 mm), reaching a minimum structure size of 25 μm and structure heights ranging from 53 to 1500 μm, among other advantages. Therefore it could be considered that the Fmold will help to boost even more the microfluidic field. The surface morphological features of the Fmold were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and profilometry. The feasibility of the resulting PDMS chips was successfully demonstrated using microfluidic devices for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) analysis.
