Resumen:
Drosophila buzzatii and Drosophia koepferae are two sibling spcies whose ranges partially overlap in Northwestern and Wester Argentina. The objective of this paper is to analyze whether intra or/and interspecific competition affects developmental time and thorax length in D. buzzatii and D. koepfeare when both species are reared in single and mixes culture and fed with semi-natural media prepared with Opuntia sulphurea (tuna) and Trichosereus terschekii (cardón). Our results show that both traits differ sinificantly between flies raised in different host and that differences between D. buzzati and D. koepferae species depend of the type of culture.
