The wide applications and advantages of IgY technology are still largely unknown in Argentina and other Latin American countries. Therefore a three-year Project between Germany and Argentina was undertaken to popularise the practice of IgY and to introduce IgY research to laboratories, explore new approaches and applications and, whenever possible, replace mammals by hens for obtaining polyclonal antibodies by non-invasive sampling.
