Resumen:
Meiotic chromosome numbers and observations were made in 5 taxa belonging to 3 genera of Verbenaceae: Lantana canescens (n=12), Junellia glauca (n=10), J. juniperina (n=10), J. longidentata (n=20) and Verbena aff. pinnatiloba (n=5). L. canescens, J. longidentata, J. juniperina and V. aff. pinnatiloba have never been investigated cytologically. The significance of these results are discussed in relation to taxonomical studies. Moreover, the presence of four unstable B chromosomes is reported in Verbena aff. pinnatiloba.
