In this paper, I call attention to a possible incompatibility between the conclusion of the argument to demonstrate the principle of the First Analogy, as it is presented in the first edition of the KrV, and the argument of the Refutation of Idealism. First of all, I propose a reconstruction of the argument to demonstrate the principle of the First Analogy (A). Secondly, I argue that the conclusion of this argument is not compatible with the theses that Kant defends in the Refutation of Idealism. Third, I intend to demonstrate that the new argument presented in B widens the scope of application of the principle of the First Analogy in such a way that it establishes the conditions of possibility of an objective change as well as the conditions of possibility of a subjective change. Finally, I conclude that these modifications of the argument in B could solve that possible incompatibility between the argument in A and the argument of the Refutation of Idealism.
