The age of the Paleogene and Neogene sequences from Cordillera de la Brea and Zancarrón, Valle del Cura, San Juan Province. New data on the age of the Paleogene and Neogene sequences cropping out in the Valle del Cura area (San Juan Province) are presented. Four radiometric ages obtained from Tobas Valle del Cura Formation suggest an Eocene to earliest Oligocene age for these rocks. Both palynological assemblages an radiometric dating indicate a Middle Miocene age for the upper part of the La Ollita Formation, whereas stratigraphic evidence suggests a Pliocene age for the Los Bañitos Formation.
