Resumen:
We study atomic decompositions and their relationship withduality and reflexivity for Banach spaces. We extend the conceptsof ``shrinking" and ``boundedly complete" Schauder basis to theatomic decomposition framework. This allows us to answer a basicduality question: when an atomic decomposition for a Banach spacegenerates, by duality, an atomic decomposition for the dual. Wealso characterize the reflexivity of a Banach space in terms ofproperties of its atomic decomposition.
