Resumen:
Ru catalystson carbon fiberswere prepared by electrolessdeposition, with 0.6 wt% Ru loading. Thereduced and used catalysts were characterized by different techniques in orderto analyze oxidation states and surface composition, the metallic content atvolumetric level, and particle size. These solids were evaluated for theproduction of hydrogen via ethanolsteam reforming at different gas hour space velocities (GHSV) at 723 K. Spacevelocity significantly influenced the distribution of products favoring theformation of acetaldehydeat short contact times while, for longer times, it was possible to obtain ahydrogen rich stream, free of oxygenate compounds.
