We report on the first detection of an emission from air-showers in the 3.4-4.2GHz fre- quency range. Using the EASIER setup, we have observed a GHz signal with a signif- icance of 14σ. We discuss the possibility that this observation is due to the molecular bremsstrahlung emission of air-showers. Preliminary calculations of the Cherenkov radi- ation predict a contribution at least two orders of magnitude lower than the molecular bremsstrahlung contribution in the non coherent regime as scaled from the measurements made in [1]. We estimate the event rate expected with the current EASIER configuration and conclude on the necessity of an extension to at least 50 stations.
