In this paper we studied the evolution of the water temperature and the possibility of ice formation in the surface detectors to be installed at the Malargüe site. Knowing the average temperatures at the site for the last two years we have simulated the thermal transference from the ambient temperature to the water volume. The simulations where performed for two cases: insulated and non-insulated tanks.
