Resumen:
We use Monte Carlo simulations for triangular and square configurations of the surface detector array with different spacings among the stations to study their expected performance. The Monte Carlo simulations allow us to reproduce any array configuration that may be used for the next steps of the Pierre Auger Observatory. The performance in terms of angular, energy and core position resolution as well as the fraction of expected events with a relatively large multiplicity are detailed.
