Resumen:
This piece analyses the criminalization of the Organización Barrial Tupac Amaru in Argentina, one of the key social movements that emerged as a response to neoliberal economic reforms at the end of the nineties. Since January 2016, Milagro Sala, the female, indigenous and controversial leader of this organization has been detained for organizing a mass vigil and a street protest to request access to state resources and the right of popular sectors to decent housing, work, education and health in the Province of Jujuy. Considering that not all popular and indigenous movements in Argentina have experienced the same prosecution by judicial and executive actors, in which ways does feminist theory aid us in understanding the selective persecution of Milagro Sala and the Tupac Amaru?
