The knowledge of extreme precipitation and extreme temperature frequency in the present climate and the projections for the future can provide useful information to the agriculture and hydrology sectors. The association of extremes with large-scale atmospheric and oceanic behaviour, as well as with synoptic and mesoscale conditions will improve the ability of monitoring them. In this article some of the results obtained during the project are presented.
